It's almost time for the 3rd annual West Coast Hip Hop Awards get ready a the very best in Hip Hop, R&B, and Gospel music. Last Years event was well over 3,000 people so get ready to get your tickets early because this will be a sold out event. Other news Dwayne D'Arby is doing a big show on Fat Tuesday Downtown Seattle at the Contour, Rapzy has been working hard, and ONE FAMM MUSIC GROUP is also working with The Tacoma Cobras Pro Football Team out of the PDFL.

2008 has been a great year so far for the ONE FAMM Records family. We would like to welcome our new staff to the ONE FAMM family. Israel in the marketing department, and Antawn to the Studio 10/ONE FAMM production staff. Welcome all! The Super Bowl was a big deal for ONE FAMM artist, Alexxs. The Fashion Bash 2008, which took place Super Bowl weekend featured MIMS and our very own resident diva Alexxs at Castles N Coasters in Phoenix, Arizona. She went out there and REPRESENTED! Also Congrets to Alexxs on her First Annual Fame Games Effigy Awards 2007 "Best Artist in Style - R&B" and a host of top 5 nominations. Thank You FANS!!!! In other news, Dwayne D’Arby is gearing up to shoot the video for his hit single “Sunshine”. Will one of ladies out there be the lucky one to be his “Sunshine”? ALEXXS WINS THIRD WEEK IN A ROLL

DADDY'S GIRL

Alexxs is a 14 year-old artistic phenomenon, on her way to fulfilling her dream as a Pop/Rock artist. She is not a fan of categories, but states that the genre mixture is fitting because the songs she performs are popular, soul filled, and sometimes edgy. Her style varies, as does the selection of her favorite artists: FeFe Dobson, Alicia Keys and Mariah Carey. A confident Alexxs says, “I realize I have a long way to go and I’m willing to work hard and give 200%, because music is my life”. Her destiny was realized at an age when most girls were playing with baby dolls and singing nursery rhymes. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and has had a unique flair for singing since she was 3 years-old when she stunned an audience at a pageant by not singing a nursery rhyme like, “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”, but instead she belted out the theater version of “Castle on a Cloud”. On that day a star was born. She loved being in pageants because she was intrigued with performing. Like most little girls, she liked dressing up, but when she performed, she was in a world of her own and those pink can-can dresses didn’t mean a thing.

Alexxs was born to entertain and mesmerize audiences with her unique style, melodic tone and vocal maturity. Her presence will embrace the ever-changing world of music with such greatness, that her youth of 14 years will appear obsolete. She continues performing and perfecting her talents as a complete artist. This rising musical icon currently performs at Sky, a ritzy dinner club, in north Phoenix, Arizona.

She has been in the studio with multi-talented producer and songwriter, Sylvia Bennett-Smith who has written and produced songs for artists, such as, Tyrese, Destiny Child, Heather Headley and the legendary, Gladys Knight Her debut album will be a masterpiece with songs like, “You Don’t Know Me”,” Daddy’s Girl”, and “One of Those Days”. With Bennett-Smith at the scope and Alexxs as the ammunition we watch for a bull’s eye in success.

We are all in for a treat with what is to come from this young sensation. Her journey was mapped out a long time ago and she is headed for the heavens, as her love for the art, support from her family, strong spiritual foundation and the gift of song soars right along with her… ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP!

ONE FAMM NEWS FEBRUARY 2009

February was full of great things for ONE FAMM MUSIC GROUP. We were the first R&B Group (Mr. Dwayne D'Arby) to play at Jazzbones in Tacoma, WA. The house was packed and the crowd was going crazy!! Special thanks to Vibe Central our live band. Just in case you missed the performance come see them both at the High Dive in Seattle, WA on April 19th. Razpy and the Vigilants had a great performance at the EMP "The Battle of the Bands." The judges who saw them kept repeating that they are the next big thing from Seattle. We are now into March and busy promoting Mr. Dwayne D'Arby single "Sunshine" which is getting Major Radio Play from Soulful Radio. Mr. Dwayne D'Arby doing a Sweet Sixteen? Mr. Dwayne D'Arby and The ONE FAMM ALL-STARS at Bumbershoot 2009? Derek G doing a song for Day 26? Speaking of Derek G, he has all ready done a song for CeCe Peniston.
